CompTIA A+ Certifications
The American Place offers classes that are held every Saturday starting from September. Classes are facilitated by an instructor working in the IT field and an experienced tech support specialist. Tutoring sessions will be available to schedule online throughout the week if you would like additional support. We are currently based at West Middle School on 44 Niles Street. The curriculum includes modules, practice tests, interactive review games and activities, and instructor lectures.
Who should apply?
For this program we are looking for high school graduates ages 18-24 with a strong interest in IT. First generation students and immigrant applicants will be prioritized, but this is not a requirement to enroll. We will have 25 spots available that will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
Is this right for you?
Since no experience is necessary for this certificate, we understand some of you may be coming into this with little to no IT experience. The work will be reasonably challenging, as it will prepare you for a corporate job. However with ample resources and flexible pacing, this learning program provides the needed preparation to sit for the CompTIA A+ certification exams.
