Citizenship Services
The American Place’s Citizenship program includes citizenship education, interview preparation, and application assistance. Hartford Public Library is recognized by the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Legal Access Program (OLAP) to offer legal advice by its attorneys and accredited representatives. Due to limited capacity, our scope of legal service is currently restricted to Citizenship Application Completion and Green Card Renewals. As a not-for-profit organization, we are able to offer these services at no or low cost to the public.
NOTE: Only Attorneys or OLAP Accredited Representatives can provide legal advice. Notary publics, businesses, notarios, tax services are NOT able to give immigration legal advice. Customers wishing to fill out online forms themselves are advised to visit the USCIS official website at www.uscis.gov. The address must read www.uscis.gov and must end with .gov
