The State of Connecticut has approved Hartford Public Library’s Security Officer Training Program, commonly known as the “Guard Card” class. The successful completion of this one-day program will qualify candidates to apply for a Security Officer ID card issued by the State of Connecticut Department of Emergency Services & Public Protection. SNAP E&T is a skills-based program that provides short- term vocational programs at community colleges and community-based organizations. Trainings include: Admin Medical Assistant/ Asistente de Cuidado Personal (course held in Spanish); Asplundh Utility Arborist Trainee; CNA – Nurse Aide Cert; Community Health Worker; EKG Technician; Information Technology (IT) Tracks; Intro to Manufacturing; Office Professional; Patient Care Tech (PCT); Safety & Security Guard; Social Services Assistant.
